Simple Obedience...Not Easy Obedience
What has God placed on your heart to do? Can you think of the one thing, the simple thing, that He desires you to do, in a simple, obedient, loving response to Him?
There may be nothing easy or 'common-sense' about it. It may be the most difficult thing you have ever done. Or it may be so easy that you simply cannot believe it. Surely, there must be something grating and awful about doing something to please God...after all, I've been such a horible example...
The point isn't really about the difficulty or the ease of the thing God may be prompting you to do, or say, or write. He wants you to simply obey. he is trying to get us to a certain place, a certain point. Are we willing, even when it seems so simple? Be caregul not to stumble or be deceived at the simplicity that is found in Christ as we walk in the Spirit.
May the Lord find in you and me the willingness to walk in faith, trusting in His ability, not ours. Clinging to His word, not ours. Standing firm in what He has asked us to do or say or write or live out in the sight of God and God alone...

Praise the LORD! Josh... Our God is so great, so big, so mighty, there is truly, nothing HE cannot do! I am thrilled for what the LORD has?is done/doing in and through you as you submitt to Him in love and trust... I am praying for you and your lovely family.

This was very encouraging to read, Josh. It's easy to think that we are not 'doing' enough for God, that the small, simple things aren't as great as the big things...when that's not the point at all. He wants our hearts more than our 'doings,' be they simple or grand...what you wrote reminded me that He desires obedience above sacrifice. (1 Samuel 15:22) Praise the Lord you were obedient to write this very thing!!
