Catch and Release
I was going to write something completely different, but as I thought on how to title it, The picture of 'Catch and Release' came to me. And the thoughts came flooding in behind the title.
When I hear 'catch and release' I automatically think of fishing. Fishing, something i am not TOO fond of, makes me think of Jesus saying to some fishermen, "Follow Me and you will become fishers of men." My mind then goes back to the first word in the title, which is 'catch'. That makes me think of Paul the apostle who said "That I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus" in Philippians 3:12.
So, The question comes to mind then, "Have you been 'caught'? Have you been apprehended? And if you have, the next question I am led to is this, "Why? For what purpose? To what end?"
More on this later...any questions or comments would be most welcome.

Well, I don't have a comment about what you posted about specifically. I will say that it's awesome to see how God has grown Open Arms Ministy. I was just editing your last message in the park and I heard you share about why you were going to Scotland and the different stuff you were praying about, including another Church in the Park Saturday mornings at Washington Park. It's also awesome to see how much prayer you put into things before you do them. You don't do things rashly at all, and I think that's a good example to the rest of us. God's blessin' and I'm blessed to see it. Can't wait to hear how Scotland was. Prayin' for you.

Hi Josh, Just started blogging and found you through pilgrimworks. It's a whole new world. Dangerous. I pray dangerous to the kingdom of darkness. On "catch and release" I just thought I would add: How wonderful that the Lord does not release what He has caught." I am forever on His hook no matter how uncomfortable it may be at times.
May His fishermen be as He is in this world, not wanting any to perish, wanting all to reach full stature in Christ, for His eternal glory. Amen.
Agape,
Elaine
